The Directorate General of Taxes Launches the GENTA Application
The Directorate General of Taxes (DGT) continues its digital transformation through the launch of the Generate Data Application (GENTA). This application is designed to improve the efficiency of tax administration services, particularly in providing electronic access to tax invoice data and income tax withholding certificates.
Starting July 1, 2025, the Directorate General of Taxes has officially launched the GENTA application. Taxpayers can access it via the following link: https://genta.pajak.go.id/. Specifically, the DJP Online platform operates GENTA, so only taxpayers who already have a DJP Online account and have activated their Electronic Filing Identification Number (EFIN) can use the application. Therefore, if taxpayer do not yet have an EFIN or a DJP Online account, you must first register through the tax office or the online activation services provided by the DJP.
Main Features of the GENTA Application
Based on the official User Manual of the Generate Data Application (GENTA) and the available menu options, the following features are provided:
- Online Data Requests Taxpayers can submit requests for tax invoice data and withholding tax certificates online without having to visit the tax office.
- Automated Staged Processing After a user submits a request, the system processes the data through the following statuses:
- Initial Process: the system receives the request.
- In Progress: the data is verified.
- In Queue: the data is being prepared.
- File Ready for Download: the file is available in CSV format.
- File Downloaded: the process is complete.
- Types of Data Currently Available The GENTA application menu lists the following documents that users can request:
- Outgoing Tax Invoices
- Incoming Tax Invoices
- Returned Outgoing Tax Invoices
- Returned Incoming Tax Invoices
- Article 21 Income Tax Certificates
- Article 23 Income Tax Certificates
- Monthly Income Tax Certificates
- Form 1721-A1 Income Tax Certificates
- Form 1721-A2 Income Tax Certificates
- Request and Download Limitations
- The maximum file size is 75 MB and will automatically be split into 1 MB segments.
- While downloading a file, you cannot start another download until the current one is complete.
- Day+1 Data Retrieval Mechanism
The system will process all data requests with at least one business day of lead time. If you submit a request today, the file will become available the next day at 8:00 AM UTC+7. - Automated Data Retrieval Jobs
The system compiles the requested data within a maximum of 3 hours after you submit it, before making it ready to download.

How to Use GENTA
- Log in to DJP Online using your Tax Identification Number (TIN), National Identification Number (NIK), or Business Location Identification Number (NITKU) and password.
- Select the Generate Data menu.
- Add your data request by specifying the tax period, tax year, and document type.
- Wait until the file status changes to Ready for Download.
- Download the data file in CSV format.

Supporting Tax Administration Modernization
The launch of GENTA complements other innovations as part of Indonesia’s tax administration modernization roadmap. The application is expected to:
- Accelerate access to supporting data for tax reporting.
- Reduce potential disputes over data between taxpayers and the DJP.
- Encourage voluntary compliance through digital services that are easier to access.
