Who Am I? – Getting to Know Yourself Better
Know yourself better. On February 2, 2023, Synergy organized a self-discovery training titled “Who Am I?” for its employees, the Synergians. The goal was to help team members gain deeper insight into themselves and their interaction styles. The session was part of Synergy’s continuous commitment to personal and professional growth.
Starting from Within: Know Yourself Better
To begin with, the session was led by an experienced psychologist who guided participants through a journey of self-awareness. The training started with personal introductions, where each person shared something unique about themselves. As a result, this activity created a relaxed and open environment right from the beginning.
Shortly after the introductions, participants moved on to several personality and learning assessments. These included the DISC test, VAK (Visual, Auditory, Kinesthetic) learning styles, Left-Right Brain Dominance, and the Love Language quiz. In particular, each tool offered a fresh perspective on how individuals process information, think, and relate to others.
Furthermore, the session encouraged participants to reflect on how their traits influence their daily interactions and performance at work. Consequently, the combination of theory and practical reflection allowed participants to better understand their unique characteristics while appreciating the differences in others.
From Insight to Action: Applying What We Know
As participants reviewed their results, they began to reflect on how these traits influence their performance at work. For instance, someone with a dominant visual learning style could adjust their note-taking methods. Meanwhile, team members with different personality types discussed how to better align communication styles.
Moreover, the session encouraged honest discussion and empathy. Participants started to see not just themselves more clearly, but also their colleagues. This opened the door for stronger teamwork and fewer misunderstandings in daily tasks.
Building a More Connected Team
Throughout the training, interactive discussions helped build trust and engagement among employees. People asked questions, shared stories, and supported each other in interpreting their results.
By the end of the session, participants not only felt more confident in their self-knowledge, but also more connected with their team. This experience planted the seeds for more effective collaboration across the organization.
More Than Just a Training
In conclusion, “Who Am I?” was not just about learning personality types. It was about valuing differences, improving communication, and laying the foundation for stronger teamwork. As Synergy continues to grow, building emotionally intelligent teams remains a top priority.
